Well, our Bettie sure has been busy...

She is about to open her 5th location in just a year and a half! The newest location will

be at Hoffman's Playland in Loudonville! Due to open the beginning of June it will be

a fun filled and retro inspired location with our cupcakes, coffee and cupcake ice cream available

year round!

Next, we are happy to announce we will be opening in Saratoga on Broadway the beginning of July!

Yes, we can't wait to have a storefront and patio area right in the heart of Saratoga where Maestro's currently is!

Bettie has gone creative again with her newest invention -

CUPCAKE ICE CREAM!

She takes her gourmet cupcakes, buttercream and other fixings and blends them into her fresh creamy ice cream that she makes from scratch using real heavy cream and sugar! What you get is flavorful chunks of cupcake or sweet bits of buttecream and unique flavors!

Just like our Cupcake flavors change every week, so will our ice cream flavors so keep stopping back to see what Bettie is whipping up~

The Cupcake Ice Cream will be available at our Saratoga Cupcakery or at our Colonie Center Cupcake Stand. Bettie's Cakes will be opening their 5th location in Loudonville at Hoffman's Playland the end of May 2011. A local favorite, the Smile Monster will thanking everyone from 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program
To collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.

Afterwards, Buddy signed autographs for what we think was 3 hours...what a guy to not turn anyone away! His show was truly inspiring and we will continue watching his show faithfully!

Trans Fats are Icky & What's Up with the Buses

Hello Cupcake Fans!
Just wanted to clear up a few things regarding Trans Fats...
We have NEVER used them...we refuse to even consider using them. We bake from scratch daily and use real butter. We understand this is a more expensive way to go about it and that the cupcakes will not last as long but that is ok with us! We also do not use preservatives so our cupcakes will only last about 2 days...this is how it should be! You will taste the difference when you experience BETTIE's Cupcakes!

Dee Dee is at the Altamont Fair through Sunday, August 22nd. She will be heading back to Delmar after her stint as a Carnie :)

August 20th - Cee Cee will be at the Saratoga Race Track this Friday from 11-6pm selling PINK VELVET, PINK LEMONADE and STRAWBERRY cupcakes in support of the Fabulous Fillies fundraisor for Breast Cancer Research. We will be donating a portion of all sales towards research.

September 11th - we will be at Central Park with Dee Dee in Schenectady for the Animal Protective Foundation event. We will have plenty of our Puppie Cuppies for sale and we will be donating a portion of sales towards their foundation.

September 19th - We will be at the Local Harvest Festival in Albany with our delish cupcakes!

Dee Dee is a Double Decker Bus from London (1963 Bristol Lodeka)! She seats 28 on the "SkyDeck" our 2nd story of the bus. On the first floor you can come in and check out our cupcakes on display and grab a coffee or you can get a cupcake through the service window.

We are the only MOBILE cafe in the whole USA on a Double Decker Bus so don't miss out!

We bake the cupcakes at our Saratoga Cupcakery and deliver them daily to our bus just for you!

Join the trend and offer your guests choices in bite size pieces!

We offer wedding cupcakes on a tier which we provide (at no extra charge) and we even can match the ribbon to your wedding colors! We offer two different wedding tier styles - a square tier or a round tier. Above are some examples of a wedding cupcake display we did for a bride and groom in the Catskills. This bride chose to have Red Velvet, Key Lime Pie and Peanut Butter Cup for her guests which are displayed on the table. On the tier she had traditional Vanilla and Chocolate cupcakes with a Red Velvet Cake covered in white fondant on top. The top layer of the cake she kept for her first anniversary and they sliced into the second layer for the cake cutting ceremony.

Bettie's Cakes Fan Appreciation Party ROCKS Saratoga!

Thank you everyone for coming out last night! It was a blast from the second it started! We had a live cake demonstration from Cailey who can custom create any cake you can imagine just like the one we raffled off last night - A Pink Cadillac with Elvis and Bettie in the front seats! The liscense plate even read "Betties"!

We gave away hundreds of free CUPCAKES and Root Beer and Coffee to fans, raffled off FREE CUPCAKES FOR A YEAR and then did a drawing for the Bettie's Cadillac Cake!

Elvis was IN THE BUILDING and performed 2 live shows to fans throughout the whole mall. He danced, sang, threw Teddy Bears into the crowd and gave a bunch of giddy girls and women his silk scarves!

We are proud to be the #1 choice for CUPCAKES in the area and know you appreciate our freshly baked goodness!

First of all, we want to say thank you for making us the #1 Cupcake place in Upstate NY!

In only 4 months you have helped us grow from zero to over a thousand so quickly! We appreciate you all spreading the word about Bettie's Cakes and that is why we are throwing you a PARTY! On Saturday, March 2oth, Elvis himself will be performing two shows, we will have new Happy Hour inspired cupcakes, free cupcake samplings, free beverages, coupons for future visits, a live cake demonstration (we know alot of you are fans of Cake Boss), a raffle for the cake that we create that night and a drawing for FREE CUPCAKES FOR A YEAR!!! Well we know all of you cupcake lovers also have dogs that you bring along when you visit Bettie's Cakes...now they don't have to be left out! We launched our

new line of dog friendly CUPCAKES today called: Puppie Cuppies!

Made from all natural ingredients and topped off with an ORGANIC dog bone since you demand the best for your pooch!

We did a great photo shoot today with 2 adorable 2 pound dogs - Max & Pupcake...thanks to their owners Victoria and Tara for bringing them in!

We will be selling the Puppie Cuppies on the Bus and at our Cupcakery. You may also place special orders for them as they sell fast!

We are working on some Cat friendly cupcakes also so as soon as we get that recipe down pat we will be sure to announce it!

She is the sweetest girl and you feel so lucky to have her....
So it's only natural that you want to ask her to marry you the Sweetest way possible!

Well then propose with our message cupcakes spelling out "Will You Marry Me?"

That's what Nick did...one of Bettie's very first customers back in November 2009 when we opened. He called us to arrange for a very special order, had his mom pick up the cupcakes and then he popped the question in the park!

DOUBLE DECKER BUS!

Our Cupcake Bus has been the talk of the town and for that - we THANK YOU!
We are now opening longer hours and 7 days a week due to the demand for something sweet and unique in the Capital District!

We know you appreciate that we do not use any preservatives, only the best ingredients and the fact that our cupcakes are made by hand fresh every day!

We will be stationed at Hewitt's in Guilderland for the Spring but will be out and about traveling to events such as the Paul Mitchell - The School's fashion show and gala on 3/31! No preservatives used - We will not compromise the use of chemical type products to prolong the life of our cupcakes. Our cupcakes last about 2 days and that is okay with us because we bake fresh daily and they are so good you will want to eat them as soon as you buy them anyway!

NO FROZEN CUPCAKES HERE -We also do not ship in mass quantities of frozen cupcakes baked offsite like other cupcake vendors. They are all made from scratch by our "Betties"!
